Ellen DeGeneres welcomed Claire Danes on her eponymous daytime talk show Tuesday, but before she sat down to chat with the Homeland actress, she had an announcement to make. "I have something to show you—it's that right here. Can you see it?" DeGeneres asked, directing the camera to show her splint. "I broke my finger. I know what you're thinking: 'How can you host a show without the tip of my ring finger?' I am not gonna let this thing beat me. I am not."

"So, you know how in gymnastics when you do a one-handed cartwheel and you have to spread the weight evenly between all your fingers? Well, I had two glasses of wine and fell into a door," DeGeneres continued, adding that she and wife Portia De Rossi "were coming home from a dinner party" and were "almost at the front door" when the accident occurred. "The dogs were so excited to see us and I caught the lip of the top step. I was a foot away from the door and I fell into the door and it did something to my finger, I knew something was wrong."
To her audience's surprise, DeGeneres showed a photo of her dislocated finger. "I should have warned you. Don't look at that. If you're squeamish, don't look at it," she told them. "I'm sorry."

Mechelle Epps claims Mike makes $3.5 million a year, but recently cut her off from bank accounts and credit cards, leaving her high and dry with zero income. She says Mike never wanted her to work during their marriage, and now she can't land a job because she's too old at 36.
In the docs, Mechelle says she spends several thousand bucks a month on shoes and clothes for their 10 and 12-year-old girls. Plus, the girls have to get their hair braided at an "expensive salon" ... not to mention food, vacations and $72k per year for private schooling.
Mechelle says her mom handles nanny duties for a mere $3,500 monthly, plus another $600 to cover Mom's Mercedes.
According to the docs, $109,036 per month from Mike should cover everything. Mechelle also wants sole possession of their house. He filed for divorce in January 2016, but they've yet to reach a final settlement.

In a soon to be aired BBC documentary, Rio Ferdinand: Being Mum And Dad, the former England footballer and ex-Manchester United defender revealed that he turned to alcohol following the death of his wife Rebecca in March 2015, after experiencing guilt that she died and not him. 

Breaking down while filming, Ferdinand said he started drinking in the middle of the night to get through the grief of losing her to breast cancer.

The 38-year-old who is now a single-parent to their three children Lorenz, 10, Tate, eight, and Tia, five, met Rebecca when he was just 21 and they got married in 2009 on Peter Island, after he proposed during a trip to Las Vegas in 2007, a year after their eldest Lorenz's birth.

'At the beginning I was drinking a lot at night time. We have a lady lucky enough who lives with us, she would go to bed and I'd come back down in the middle of the night and probably drink a lot for the first three or four months. But I would get up and do the school run and stuff.'

Ferdinand said he can now sympathise with people who go to 'dark places' following trauma and grief. He insisted that it was the people who he surrounded himself with that gave him the drive to succeed for his children.

'That's why a network of people around you is so important. And I was fortunate to have that and also having my kids as inspiration to make sure I get up and do things and try and make things work. Some people aren't afforded that, some people haven't got that, and that's when I started to become a bit more sympathetic when people do go to places that are dark places.'

He added: 'I used to look at people or read stories and think, how can you be so selfish and commit suicide or attempt to commit suicide or whatever. But I can actually sympathise now because I understand that you get to places where you think, if I didn't have that network of people or my kids who I use as an inspiration to be able to get up and think straight, I can understand that.'

Lil Eazy-E is ripping California lawmakers for even thinking about lowering the penalty for knowingly exposing a sex partner to HIV, because doing so could give unscrupulous people a license to kill.
Lil Eazy, whose father died from AIDS complications in 1995, says there's gotta be hard consequences ... and a proposed bill does the exact opposite. The bill would make it a misdemeanor instead of a felony, as it is now.
The idea is reportedly an effort to eliminate the stigma of being HIV positive, but Lil E -- an HIV activist -- thinks it's a Pandora's box.
He adds ... "common sense" dictates leaving the law unchanged.

"It's too stressful. I swear what I am about to say, some club owners would not like it. You go to a club, it's crowded, you can't dance, everyone is hitting you, the drinks are expensive.
If you look at it at the end of the day, you are actually getting stressed out to spend your own money. I would rather just stay at home. Buy the drinks and keep it's real. It's cheap. Call my friends to come to my house and drink. The money I would spend on a bottle of brandy in the club, I can use it to buy 3 at home. It's just #11,000 for a bottle (of a particular brand) but in the club, is it i #35,000? I be mumu? I be igbo, I save my money. No be club?"

Jamie Vardy reveals death threats over alleged involvement in Claudio Ranieri’s sacking

Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has revealed he received death threats after it was alleged by UK Media outfits that he played a major role in the sacking of former coach Claudio Ranieri, barely 9 months after winning the club's first premier league title.

Leicester City prior to Ranieiri's sack were languishing in the relegation zone and the club owners shockingly made the decision to sack the Italian manager, replacing him with Craig Shakespeare.

It had been reported that senior players such as Jamie Vardy and Schmeichel had asked the owners to sack Ranieiri – but the players have categorically denied the claims

And now Jamie Vardy has revealed that he received death threats from Leicester fans over the alleged gang-up.

In an interview published by Guardian UK newspapers on Tuesday morning, Vardy said:

 “The story is out there, then people pick it up and jump on it and you’re getting death threats about your family, kids, everything,” Vardy said. “I try to get on with it but when people are trying to cut your missus up while she’s driving along with the kids in the back of the car it’s not the best. It’s happened plenty of times. It is terrifying.”

 Vardy said the threats had been made “on social media, walking down the street, you name it” and insisted he was wrongly named as one of the players who allegedly turned against the manager who won the first league championship in Leicester’s history.

He also denied there was a problem with the players and their former manager.

 “No, not at all. Basically if there was an issue you went and did it in the gaffer’s office, man to man. Or you did it on the tactics board because he was happy for you to come in and put your opinion across.

“Apparently the meeting that got him sacked I read one story that said it was straight after the Sevilla game. Absolute shambles. It said I was personally involved in a meeting when I was actually sat in anti-doping for three hours. The stories were quite hurtful. A lot of false accusations were being thrown out there and there’s nothing us, as players, could do about it.”

Vardy was also criticized for not posting a farewell message to his former manager on his social media account, immediately after his sacking.. But he has revealed that he took over 48 hours to post a social media message because 'it was very hard' for him.

“I can understand what you are saying but, personally, my tweet was [meant to be] going out straightaway, but I wrote it that many times I couldn’t quite get the wording right. You don’t know what to say. It was 24 hours before I did it but we had just got back from Seville. We were delayed, landed, then went straight home, kids in the bath and straight to bed myself. 

“It’s hard. Don’t get me wrong, what he did for Leicester was unbelievable and nobody would have expected that [title] in a million years. We can only thank him for that. The way this season has gone, players never seem to be the ones who get the sack. It always falls on the manager and that is what has happened. We are all sincerely gutted that it did.

“I get abuse at every stadium that I turn up at. You are always going to get stick from fans. It is part and parcel of football. I’m one that carries on and winds them up a bit. Do I enjoy it? Yeah, it’s just me. I couldn’t tell you why I get it, but it’s part of the game. I am not really fussed about it. It’s fine by me.”

Vardy also explained why he had not chosen to report the death threats to the police. “All that can happen is they get banned on Twitter,” he said.

“People get cut up but if there’s no cameras you’re screwed.”
