VP Osinbajo in Delta on peace mission
The vice president, Yemi Osinbajo on Monday led a Federal Government
team to Delta State as part of government’s efforts to resolve the
lingering Niger Delta Crisis.
The visit was said to be for an Interactive Engagement and Fact-Finding Mission with Oil-Producing Communities in a renewed effort at resolving the crisis in that region.
On his team were General Paul Boroh Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta and Dr. Ibe Kachukwu Minister of State, Petroleum Resources.
He was received by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, and they visited His Royal Majesty, Williams Naira Ogoba, Oboro 11, Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom at his Palace and also the Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Ikenwoli, both in Warri.
